Something that’s changed after doing all the photography I’m doing is that I’ve learned to appreciate plants I’ve never liked. Somehow getting up close to plants that I’ve never bothered to look at because I think they’re ugly causes me to see them differently. I like that. I also think it’s something I can apply to more than just plants. I make quick harsh judgments far too often when I need to take a second look or think more carefully. I suspect it might make me kinder. I like the thought that I might learn to be kinder.
