Read Online

I am breathing a sight of (temporary) relief.

I’ve been known to create “interesting” typos. I have a few readers out there who let me know, though. (Yes, I want you to let me know!) This one above made me laugh.

Laughter!

(Double posting this … I have to share with oboe players too!)

My Mood

I just walked into our backyard for the briefest of moments.

It made me very, very sad.

It’s The Little Things That Bug Me

On a commercial a man who must be picking up a friend (?) says to the second guy, “Mind if I take a shortcut?” The second responds, “Yeah, sure.”

The answer should be “No.” Saying “yeah” means he DOES mind.

Isn’t that troubling?

Even more troubling is that I’ve been dealing with email disappearances. Ack! How annoying is that? I haven’t a clue what happened. At first I thought I’d done something wrong, but now that I’m realizing mail from a variety of folders has disappeared I’m thinking it was something else. How annoying is this?

Oh Well

I just think with Jesus anything is possible.

These were the words the mom of the woman playing the final Wheel Of Fortune puzzle just said before her daughter had to guess the “place”. I was sort of glad the girl didn’t win the money. (Yeah, I really wasted 30 minutes on this show!)

_ _ ER _
_ _ _ SE

Can you guess the word? I didn’t. I should have. But I still didn’t.

Wanna know? Or did you guess already?

OPERA HOUSE

Yep. I didn’t see it.

Go figure.

The research shows men who spend even a few minutes in the company of an attractive woman perform less well in tests designed to measure brain function than those who chat to someone they do not find attractive.

Researchers who carried out the study, published in the Journal of Experimental and Social Psychology, think the reason may be that men use up so much of their brain function or ‘cognitive resources’ trying to impress beautiful women, they have little left for other tasks.

The findings have implications for the performance of men who flirt with women in the workplace, or even exam results in mixed-sex schools.

Women, however, were not affected by chatting to a handsome man.

Gee. I’ve never noticed any man having trouble focusing on their work when around me. Go figure.
