Wasting Water, Saving Paper

As I walked (yes, I went outside!) to the bank I saw a hose connected to a fire hydrant. Water was pouring into the gutter. I’m not sure why the fire department had to do this on occasion, but I’ve seen them do this before so whatever.

BUT … wouldn’t it be a good idea if they notified the neighborhood and suggested that people come and collect some of that water for their gardens?

Just pondering …

Recently I’ve taken to saving envelopes from mail. I figure I can use those for notes rather than buying more note pads. Between envelopes and realtors (who love to leave notepads at our door) it seems we could go without buying paper for anything but the printer.

Am I being a good girl or what?

Don’t answer that unless you give me the answer I want, okay? ;-)

And how about this? (Cute, eh?)
