Well … Okay

I haven’t been recording my car usage. Mostly because I’m using the car more. It’s more fun to record car usage when I can type “0″. That makes me feel so darn superior to others, you know? And I am so good at feeling superior. In a very humble sort of way.

But okay, I’ve had to drive to San Francisco twice so far, for Don Giovanni, and I’ll have to drive again on Sunday. (The other days someone else drives, as we have a carpool of 3.) I drove to church on Sunday. Saturday I drove about eight miles if I’m remembering correctly. And today I drove to Home Depot to pick up some paint. And THEN Dan drove, but I sat in the car so I guess I have to mention this, to Santa Cruz.

Still, I’m not driving much. And I’m feeling good about the use of the car. I do believe we are buying less gas. And yet we’ve probably spent more money, due to price increases, wouldn’t you know?

Still deciding on paint color, but I’m quite excited about covering up the green in the bedroom.

Now I’m thinking, “I’d sure love to change the blue in the living room.” Hmmm.

So It Has Begun

Once you’ve put up a bit of paint on a wall, you have committed yourself to painting the entire room.

Hah

The boy has been booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of felony evading and for being an unlicensed driver.

Well, he is eleven. Seems to me there’s no suspicion as far as being unlicensed.

Very bizarre & scary story, really. I think the kiddo will be grounded. you know?

Hmmm

I just received a $10 offer at Coldwater Creek for no-iron pants.

You mean some people iron pants? Um. Okay.

Car Use & More

I was planning on driving to church today, but my stomach had other plans. So never mind. Instead I’ve been home taking it easy, and eating somewhat light. (I’m feeling better now, but there are still twinges, so I’m going to continue with my careful eating, I guess.)

I was reading about my new MacBook battery, trying to make sure I calibrated it correctly and all. Turns out I was hooking up to the power too often, which is probably why my old battery was not lasting very long. Thing is, if I’m at home I really COULD just hook up to the power and take the battery out entirely. BUT … seems like they should sell some sort of cover for the MacBook that would cover up the battery space so it doesn’t get damaged. Oh well. Maybe that’s a dumb idea for some reason …?

Well, I guess it’s back to reeds and knife sharpening. Exciting times. ;-)

It Figures … Rats!

Dan is off to SoCal. I taught this morning, and spent a wee bit of time on reeds. Then I cleaned the house and got dinner cooking after that. I wanted to have everything accomplished so I didn’t feel guilty when I turned on the Giants game.

The Giants aren’t on TV today!!

Wouldn’t you know it? So I’m sitting here listening to our somewhat static blessed radio. I guess that’s better than nothing. But I’m annoyed.

I’m also extremely envious of Dan. He gets to go and see Mel & Kelsey. I have to stay here and work. So I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself. But that’s life. I’ll survive. And no, Dan, I’m not writing this so you feel guilty … so please don’t feel guilty! :-)

Meanwhile … Giants are ahead, 4-1. Not a big enough margin to relax. (I only think we’re definitely going to win if we have a 10 point lead.) My house is clean. (Sort of.) Laundry is in the wash. Dishwasher is running. And I have a couple of reeds I think I trust. (Maybe.)

Hey, I’m doing pretty well with not driving. Not bad, eh? :-)

Tomorrow Jameson turns 19. Wow.

Did you know …

Bo Derek is one day younger than I?

No wonder we look so much alike.

;-)

Earlier Today …

Megan said she was craving chicken McNuggets. Or at least I think those are what she was craving.

So now … and yes, I’ve already had dinner … I’m craving junk food. Like junk food dinner kind of junk food. Fries. Chicken sandwich. Coke.

Yeah. Horrible, I know. :-/
