John Hassler

I just read that John Hassler died today. I love his writing, and I will anticipate reading that last book … but I’ll probably want to take my time reading it, knowing there won’t be any more.

“PSP has affected me in four ways — my balance, dexterity, voice and eye movements,” Hassler said with a soft voice. “When I received my diagnosis, I prayed to God, and he answered me, telling me to leave it in his hands, and that’s what I’ve done. Despite my afflictions, I’m still able to think, and I work at my computer six days a week, writing from 8 to 11:30 a.m. And my faith has remained strong as it has through my entire life.”

I was sorry to hear of his death, but thank you for sharing. The video and articles were very interesting. I, too, will be waiting for his final novel. (Thanks to you for introducing me to him.)
Yeah. Sad loss. But I’m so glad to have “met” the man.
