Oops!
I should have written yesterday to wish my dear Father a Happy Father’s Day. But I didn’t. Call me forgetful. So …
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY ONE DAY LATE, DAD!
Of course we were there, to celebrate yesterday. So at least I was able to celebrate live and in person. :-)
And now for today …
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELINOR!
I’m sorry we can’t be up there live and in person for your birthday celebration. Distance. Schedules. Money. You know how it goes. But we wish you all the best for a very lovely day and a wonderful year.
In Other News…
I am attempting to adjust to my summer schedule of “near nothingness”. I’m so thankful to have the students I have; I don’t do well with nothing on the calendar. But I’m struggling with having no playing jobs. Not ONE. It’s very difficult. Not only on the pocketbook (although that’s pretty darn rotten), but just on being me. I am, after all, a musician. With no performances I start feeling like part of me is missing. It’s crummy.
I’m hoping to get Kelsey’s room painted, though. We’ll see if I manage. First I have to empty the room (and where do I put all that stuff?). Then I have to remove the wallpaper (yuck!) and paint. None of this appeals to me at all, but the thought of having a music studio should appeal enough to get me to work on the room, don’t you think?
I’m hoping, anyway. Time will tell.
