Soon I’ll post a better copy of this picture, but for now this will have to do. Kelsey did this a year or two ago. It sits over my oboe desk.
Of course the other two kids are equally talented! I’d love to put up links to Brandon’s work (gotta ask first), and I’ll have to check and see what Jameson would like to “share” with me!
Next up should be some of Dan’s pictures. He’s the talented parent when it comes to photography. And cooking. And skiing. And and and and …
***Thoughts on the war …
Interesting, I first typed “thoughts on the wary”. I do wish that Bush was wary about this war he’s pushing. I wish he’d wait and ponder and think about all that this will do to children, poverty stricken people, and to the world in general. It feels like it’s a “done deal” and there’s no way out; like a child who stubbornly says he is going to break his friend’s toy and does, not facing the fact that he’s hurting both his friend and himself.
No, that’s too simplistic. But that’s how my brain works.
I just want Bush to stop. To think. To do something else.
As I wrote to a group of fabulous friends: “What if Bush just got a nice box of Crayolas and a coloring book or something. Coloring is such a peaceful thing to do. I wonder if he didn’t do enough of that as a child.”
Maybe I should send him a box of his very own 64 Crayolas. And a coloring book. But I’d tell him to go ahead and color outside the lines a bit. I think it would be good for him.
